Mining Our Business

You are invited to join Marmora Senior Public School in celebrating our local
mining history. This event is open to our community. Bring your family,
friends and neighbours along for supper, shopping and screening of The Price of
Gold, the story of the Deloro Mine. A question and answer period will follow the

5:00 — 6:30 p.m. Miner’s Meal - The menu includes Chili or Wieners
& Beans. Served with bun and free bag of popcorn for
the movie. Cost: $5.00. Popcorn sold separately for 50¢
Rocks and Minerals Store—open in Room 109
Scholastic Book Fair—open in the school library
6:30 p.m. Greetings and Opening Remarks—Celebrating Our Mining Heritage—Terry Clemens
6:45 p.m. Movie on the big screen: The Price of Gold.
Introduction by Heather Hawthorne, Ministry of Environment and Climate Change
7:30—8:30 p.m. Question & Answer Period—Moderator: Chris Fouts, geologist. A panel of experts in the field will respond to questions from the audience.
