On February 13, just north of Belleville, the public is invited to a fascinating talk on the biodiversity of where we live – so unique it has its own name - The Land Between. Emily Conger tells the story of Alice the Moose. After a 570-km trek from Adirondack Park to Algonquin Park, Alice represents the value of a critical path for migrating wildlife. Leora Berman emphasizes the landscape of The Land Between that Alice moves through and how Alice benefits from the unique habitats. This is the second event in the Hastings Stewardship Council - Winter Speaker Series.
Location: Township of Thurlow Community Centre, 516 Harmony Road, north of Belleville, at 7 pm. Free of charge, donations accepted. All are welcome. For information: 613-391-9034 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org
